The event will introduce Radio Nopal (MX), presenting a video with the creators of Mensajito (the open source technology with which Radio Nopal broadcasts its activities) and interviews with communities using Mensajito. This will be followed by an open discussion.

What is Radio Nopal?

Radio Nopal is an independent and collective radio station, located in Mexico City. It transmits using a free technology device which allows us to broadcast from internet without using any computer, it calls mensajito.mx.

Radio Nopal offers international artistic residencies, free and paid workshops that range from teaching trades to create and use technological tools. Radio Nopal is a meeting place that generates links and collaborations. It encourages the creation of communities through free exchange of a multiplicity of content.

As a community, Radio Nopal is a medium committed to informing, accompanying and proposing topics of interest. Its goal is to create a critical cultural map and to be recognise as a meeting point for creative community in Mexico City and surroundings.
