Natasha A. Kelly
Natasha A. Kelly is a Visiting Professor of Cultural Studies at the Berlin University of Arts. Renowned as an independent bestselling author, editor, filmmaker, theater director, multimedia artist, and curator, her works have been exhibited at venues worldwide, including Carnegie Hall New York and Goethe Theater Salvador, Brazil. She holds the directorship of Germany’s inaugural Institute for Black German Arts and Culture, co-directs the Black European Academic Network (BEAN), and is a valued member of the Black Speculative Arts Movement (BSAM). Her latest publication “Schwarz. Deutsch. Weiblich. Warum Feminismus mehr als Geschlechtergerechtigkeit fordern muss“ ("Black. German. Womxn. Why feminism should demand more than gender equality") traces 400 years of Black feminism in German-speaking Europa. Presently, she is adapting her book for theater performances.
