Center for Collaborative Arts and Media (CCAM) at Yale
The Center for Collaborative Arts and Media (CCAM) at Yale activates creative research and practice across disciplines to advance the cultural landscape of our time. We initiate and support work that adopts and investigates approaches from the arts, architecture, engineering, the sciences, and more. We regularly present our discoveries to the public in dialogue and partnership with the university, New Haven, and the world.
CCAM programs include our Wednesday Wisdom workshops, Studio Fellowship, Sound Art Series, and annual Symposium. We also engage in research, grounded in our Ultra Space Lab and Creativity Lab. The majority of our events are free and open to the public.
CCAM also produces publications.
"Maquette," the CCAM journal, is an archive in motion that features writing related to the work happening at CCAM. It also features the perspectives of guest contributors and interviewees from the arts, sciences, and other fields. The publication is issued once a year in print and online.
The CCAM "Printed Volume" series includes scholarly and creative work, from essays to poetry or art manifestos. These are created in response to the Call for Papers of the annual CCAM Symposium. Often, they are informed by the contributors’ participation in its events.
