Lucífuga

Lucífuga is a series of approximately 80 drawings made by Soledad Ramírez since 2021. As part of her pictorial research, she proposes to make drawings using only graphite pencil and paper. From the precariousness of the material and the technique of stream of consciousness in tune with the music she chooses to listen to during the process, scenes emerge in which light, darkness and rhythm merge to reveal vast landscapes and imaginary. The homonymous publication, arises from the need to compile part of this work in a printed work, giving birth to new readings, in which the sequentiality of the images and their fluid link with the writing of Asunción Mena, converge in an invitation to immerse oneself in a sparkling and unfathomable environment.
