Clara Bahlsen

Clara Bahlsen is an artist working with photography and sculpture. Her clearly composed images isolate functional objects from their surroundings, transforming them into formal components of material and shape. Clara Bahlsen is interested in exploring visual perception and defamiliarizing narratives. Her conceptually inclined work combines a variety of artistic, biographical, and cross-cultural references. Part of her practice is publishing her own books.
