Headmaster was founded in 2010 as the art magazine for man-lovers. Produced in New England and released occasionally, each full-color, perfect bound issue of the queer journal features original work developed in response to assignments written by the magazine’s two editors. The magazine’s tenth issue will be released in May 2024 and features twelve projects centered around the concept of sport, including two by artists based in Berlin (Victor Luque and Laurent Pellissier). Past contributors to the issue have included Wolfgang Tillmans, Bernhard Willhelm, Slava Mogutin, Jaanus Samma, Dean Sameshima, Matthias Herrmann, and Liz Collins. Headmaster has received two merit awards from the Society of Publication Designers.
