Discussion
The "Politics of Sound" theme invites us to explore the role of music as a social and political force, an often overlooked but incredibly powerful voice in our culture and society. Eschewing the visible, music is capable of reflecting, perceiving and hearing the world in a more accurate way, masked by the gaze.
In its latest issue "Politics of Sound #2," AFRIKADAA magazine offers a captivating archaeology of musical sounds and movements as impulses, rhythms, convulsions, riots, uprisings, fluctuations, and beats of social, political, and cultural transformations.
The art magazine AFRIKADAA gives a voice to new editorial and critical practices in the South, bridging the gap between colonial discourses and local resistance. Its collective offers a different vision of contemporary art, highlighting artists' journeys across borders. Combining theory and practice, the magazine goes beyond the simple space of publication to invest physical, corporeal and artistic spaces, asserting a critique liberated from the Western prism.
