“Khan Aljanub” is an independent publisher and bookstore located in Neukolln, specialized in promoting progressive literature from the Arab world in Arabic, German, and English.
In our publishing, we tend to promote Arab voices from the diaspora that discusses issues hard to discuss in the Arab region, especially queer, feminism, and political oppression topics.
Also, in our bookshop we offer more than 4000 titles of Novels, comics, art books, poetry, history, political analysis books, with a special focus on children books, bilingual books, and books translated from Arabic to German and English.
We also encourage and host events and workshops for adults and kids, that is multilingual and supports inclusion of the Arabic diaspora in the society, and encourage their creative tools.
