Participant: Minerva Juolahti

A one hour long performative gesture for three looper pedals and human voice in the space and in the radio.

Minerva Juolahti is a sound and performance artist working with body, sound, space, and paper. Their works are performative and conceptual spacial gestures that evolve around the sonic. At the moment, they concentrate on the radicality and ephemerality of human voice in the processes of remembering and forgetting.

Juolahti has shown work in different contexts such as documenta fifteen, New Performance Turku, Kiilan Äänipäivät, Sola festival, and Center for Deep Listening. They have also made work for example inside a former maternity hospital, on a mountain, inside a forest, on metro stations, and in a bathroom.

Juolahti is active in different associations and communities, such as Mad House Ystävät ry, Äänen Lumo ry, Rindamus collective, and Station of Commons ry. They live and work in Helsinki, Finland.
