A Shade Colder/Estonian Centre for Contemporary Art
The Estonian Centre for Contemporary Art (CCA) is the oldest non-profit expert institution in Estonia, activating and developing the Estonian contemporary art scene. Alongside its other activities, the CCA has always sustained a publishing practice. The newest and most extensive publishing project by the CCA is the art magazine A Shade Colder, a platform for discussions about and around art in Estonia and the wider region of North-East Europe.
With the first issue published just a few months after Russia’s attack on Ukraine, A Shade Colder is very much engaging with the changing landscape of art in Europe and striving to be a useful tool for working within and introducing the eastern parts of Europe internationally. During the fair, we will be presenting ASC and other publications, introducing themes and practices most relevant today.
