Ana Chubini

Ana Chubinidze is a Tbilisi-based illustrator and stop-motion filmmaker with over a decade of experience creating award-winning children’s films and commercials. Using analogue paper cut-out techniques, she brings heartfelt stories to life with originality and handcrafted charm. Her animated short films Franzy’s Soup-Kitchen (2021) and The Pocket Man (2016) have been selected by more than 250 festivals and have won over 50 awards from festivals such as the New York International Children’s Film Festival, the London International Animation Film Festival, and the Hiroshima International Animation Film Festival. Ana also creates and self-publishes books, zines, and merchandise by hand. Happily busy with films, ads, books, and workshops, Ana leads Pocket Studio — the first stop-motion animation studio in Tbilisi, Georgia — supporting and growing the local animation and illustration community.
