Bureau d’Etudes Japonaises 研究所
Working under the name Bureau d’Etudes Japonaises 研究所, Tokyo-based artist Bruno Quinquet develops a contemplative and deadpan vision of the metropolis, rooted in the influences of his French upbringing, and enriched by more than twenty years of life in Japan.
His publications range from documentary style street photography (salaryman project / yubin) to autofiction (artist in residence / flora japonica). Projects mix the Japanese, English and French languages, and take shape as artist books, postcard books and mail art, illustrated business agendas, or online photo novels.
