Cabinet

Cabinet is a non-profit publisher and cultural organization founded in Brooklyn, New York, in 1999. Although our core activity is the production of Cabinet magazine, we also publish books and organize exhibitions, conferences, lectures, and screenings. By operating with the most expansive and inclusive definition of culture possible, Cabinet aims to encourage radical curiosity about the world we have made and inhabit. We believe that curiosity is a fundamentally ethical and political force in that interrogating the historical, social, and cultural formations that have shaped our world is the first step toward imagining it otherwise.
