Callum Leo Hughes
Callum Leo Hughes (b.1991, UK) is a visual artist currently based in Berlin. Working with a combination of his own photography, text and found material, his work explores desires and the malleability of images. Drawing from on and offline subcultures, image archives and queer concerns, his works focuses on atypical printing methods and self-publishing.
Alongside exhibiting artworks, he has showcased his self-published books and zines at several international bookfairs including: Paris Ass Book Fair (Palais de Tokyo, Paris), NY Queer Zine Fair (The Center New York), Bound Art Book Fair (The Whitworth Art Gallery, Manchester), ASP: Artist Self-Publishers’ Fair (Institute of Contemporary Arts, London) and Friends with Books: Art Book Fair Berlin (Hamburger Bahnhof, Berlin). His publications can also be found in bookshops in Berlin, London, New York and Tokyo.
