Callum Leo Hughes – Miss Read

Callum Leo Hughes

Pixels to pixels, thrust to thrust, Callum Leo Hughes explores desires and the malleability of images. Drawing from on and offline subcultures, image archives and queer concerns, his works focuses on atypical printing methods and self-publishing. He works with a combination of his own photography and found material to create images, installations, collages, photographic objects and publications.

Alongside exhibiting artworks, he has showcased his self-published books and zines at several bookfairs including: Brussels Ass Book Fair (KANAL-Centre Pompidou, Brussels), Paris Ass Book Fair (Palais de Tokyo, Paris), NY Queer Zine Fair (The Center New York), Miss Read (HKW, Berlin), Bound Art Book Fair (The Whitworth Art Gallery, Manchester), ASP: Artist Self-Publishers’ Fair (Institute of Contemporary Arts, London) and Friends with Books: Art Book Fair Berlin (Hamburger Bahnhof, Berlin).
