Self-publishing constitutes, within my practice, an act of resistance and a strategy to legitimize, within the realm of the memorable, the micro-histories that traverse our bodies. My work exists at the intersection of the poetic and the raw, exploring what emerges from everyday experience and is inscribed in both the intimate and the collective.
The project Coatla develops from a shared sensibility. Its publications arise from processes of personal inquiry, as well as from dialogues that become forms of documentation. In other instances, they take shape as sequences of images that articulate experiences, perceptions, and fragments of memory connected to reality.
The zine format operates as a device for archiving and exploration, allowing me not only to document my individual experience but also to give form to the collective sensations that move through us.
