cry mimi cry is a small publishing house that has been publishing artists' books, books on art and poetry, anthologies, collections, catalogs, and works of fiction since 2022. cry mimi cry is a continuation of our graphic and editorial practice, developed within the graphic design studio Traduttore, traditore.
Our books highlight singular, humble, and socially and politically conscious perspectives while keeping at their core the question of images, signs, and their printed reproductions.

Martin is too lazy and never leaves his house until a cyst grows between his toes and hums him a ridiculous nursery rhyme. This silly event pulls him out of his stupor and pushes him to leave the sordid town he lives in. He arrives in a mundane village and meets Théo.



Histoires de Martin is Lindan Martin's first published text. Lindan was born in 1992 and lives in Marseille.



Each copy is unique.

On the occasion of Mégane Brauer’s first institutional solo exhibition at [mac] Marseille, Air de Paris and cry mimi cry are publishing Les Rois du Monde, an artist’s book structured around the text cry me a river —an autofiction exploring social violence as seen from the sidewalk of an ordinary suburb. This text is accompanied by documents, drawings, and preparatory photographs for the exhibition, as well as a text by Élisabeth Lebovici.
