e-flux Index
e-flux Index is a quarterly print publication that sets out to untangle the mess of the contemporary. Index is unique for its remit, bringing together art and film theory, philosophy, architecture, and criticism under the same mantle. Itβs also unique in its scale: each issue is around 560 pages.
The content of Index comprises commissioned essays, reviews, and articles drawn from the five separate e-flux sections: e-flux Architecture, e-flux Criticism, e-flux Education, e-flux Journal, and e-flux Notes. Each of these publications has its own editorial focus. e-flux journal explores long-form writing on contemporary art and theory, while Architecture develops thematic publishing projects in collaboration with leading institutions and practitioners. Education focuses on discussions around art and curatorial pedagogy, and Criticism and Notes pursue short-form, urgent reflections on art exhibitions, books, film, culture, and politics.
