Edit is a literary magazine based in Leipzig, Germany, which focuses on poetry, experimental prose and the literary essay. Since its founding in 1993 the magazine found a way to intertwine local newcomer voices with established national and international writers. So Martina Hefter and Kathrin Röggla had their first publications near first German translations of Chris Kraus, Claudia Rankine, James Baldwin and many more. Edit published most recently translations of Chen Chen, Kate Zambreno, hn. lyonga, Nhã Thuyên, extracts from the literary estate of Marianne Fritz and Joanna Russ, and poetry and theater by Sarah Claire Wray, Muri Darida and Elza Javakhishvili.
