Edition Le Bon Connard

We are an independent publishing initiative based in France, initiated by Chinese artists working there, focused on image-based practices.

Working across comics, photography, artist books, and printmaking, we treat publishing as a way of organizing images, narratives, and modes of viewing rather than a fixed format. Our collaborations bring together artists from China and France, creating a space where different visual languages intersect.

Through large formats, non-standard layouts, and cross-media approaches, we explore the relationship between image and narration, using irony and dark humor to engage with everyday experience.

We see publishing as a structure for circulation and connection between China and Europe.
