Ghost Books

GhostBooks is a bookstore and publishing studio located in Daegu, South Korea. It mainly introduces art books and independent publications, as well as various merchandise.
GhostBooks is operated by Incheol Kim, who writes essays and novel, and Eunji Ryu, who draws paints. They work together to run the bookstore and publishing studio.
As a publishing studio, GhostBooks produces a wide range of publications. We create diverse publications that include essays, novels, magazines, and art books, without limiting ourselves to any specific genre. Our goal is to create a variety of books that can inspire people positively.

One of the books that has led to good responses not only in Korea but also abroad is RHYTHM AND DRAWING, which is a collection of paintings drawn by Eunji Ryu in her daily life through the Covid-19 period. There are a lot of works that are unique to Eunji's and heart-warming, which has attracted many people's attention.

One of the books that led to the best response in Korea is a book that two operators worked together. The COLD AND HOT WATER series selects one theme of what they have experienced together and releases their thoughts and feelings in their own way(there are several themes in each series). It is a fun point to experience the same thing but to find things that feel different.

This is a photo book about the beautiful scenery of the snow scene that photographer Junsik Lee met during his trip to Hokkaido in the winter of 2019.

It is a collection of watercolor paintings drawn by Eunji Ryu. All the things such as forests, trees, birds, books, and cats create new landscapes with their own shapes and colors. If you listen carefully, little songs come out of the landscape. Listen carefully to the song of paper!

It is a daily graphic novel that warmly records the moment of peace created by the triviality in the small daily lives of moving from the city to the countryside.
You might say this is a drawing book not graphic novel but it is mostly in the form of silent cartoons, so you can read the narrative a little deeper according to the order of the pictures. The characters in the cartoon are Eunji, Incheol, and their cats, Kuro and Siro.
