InterViews
InterViews is an artist‘s zine created and produced by Ayumi Rahn.
InterViews serves as an artist's journal, a platform for artistic projects, and a tool for connection.
In this zine series, which I have been continuously working on since 2014, I explore dialogue as a form of expression. These artist zines dissect and transform various themes. Artistic collaboration is central, manifesting in exhibitions, readings, and performances.
Each issue is limited to a numbered edition of fifty, twenty pages each, using inkjet print and risoprint on colored paper.
I live and work as an artist and writer in Berlin. The leitmotif of my artistic work is the idea of creating connections – between past and present, between cultures and individuals, and between humans and nature.
My practice involves a variety of media, including painting, own writings, drawing, and installation. I sometimes integrate further elements such as living plants and cultural expressions to forge new relationships.
My interest lies in the disruptions and fractures within constellations, which manifest as ambiguity, oddity, the uncanny, and the paradoxical.
