krater & textur
The collaboration between krater books (Julia Fabricius) and textur (Juli Cordray) came about organically, after sharing a table at a local book fair in 2023. Since then, we've started to combine forces, bringing our distinct yet complementary practices together. In zines, posters, postcards and “origami books”, krater books’ publishing activities are focused on visual work and design – with themes and forms including instructions, charts, brief moments of everyday life, recipes, and illustrations – as well as collaborative production through bookbinding workshops and other forums. textur is focused on text in all forms: the riso-printed maga(zine) considers art through text and text as art medium. Whether in its annual themed issues or other print and digital forms, its pages are a space for commissioned work by artists and writers from around the world. Both krater books' and textur’s publications are hand bound and produced on a small scale locally in Berlin.
