maḳām editions – Miss Read

maḳām editions

maḳām editions is an artist-led imprint based in Berlin, founded in 2025. It publishes books and printed matter at the intersections of poetry, visual practices, sound, and science. Attentive to Western Asian contexts and diasporic entanglements, the imprint treats publications as lived connections: books, scores, archives, and artworks.

maḳām editions explores how collaborations can open new paths for the book form across multiple disciplinary and cultural registers, positioning independent publishing as a space for less-established ways of seeing, thinking, and connecting.

At Miss Read, we will present Dilşad Aladağ’s “Taklak” (artistic research), Selen Solak’s photo-based book “Arbeitsplatz” (photography and art–science practice), Andreas Reihse’s experimental “Schlingern: Kreidler 2009–2014” (music and cultural commentary), and Seda Mimaroğlu’s poetry volume “Love Songs” alongside various zines and printed-matter.

Though recently founded, maḳām editions builds on a long-term network of collaborations and will participate in an international book fair in Istanbul this May.
