MAKAN is an independent publisher amplifying voices and visual narratives from the Global South and beyond. Working at the intersection of photography, design, and research, MAKAN collaborates closely with artists to create books and printed projects grounded in lived experience, cultural memory, and material experimentation.

Makan is operated by Yemeni American artist Ibi Ibrahim.
