Matrijaršija
Autonomous Cultural Center Matrijaršija, founded in 2014 in Belgrade, is a dynamic collective dedicated to printmaking and independent publishing. Matrijaršija has over a decade of experience in screen printing and five years in risograph printing and experimental techniques. The collective organizes the Novo Doba festival of non-aligned comics, curates FIJUK, an independent publishing fair, and runs the Street Gallery, an open-air exhibition space in Belgrade. Our work spans various printed formats, including posters, fanzines, books, and textiles, within a vibrant collective space. Matrijaršija supports local and international artists, and functions as a hub for self-organized artistic production. The center continues to expand the possibilities of print media while strengthening connections within the independent creative community in Serbia and beyond.
