Mixy Noise

Salma Elnoby, also known as Mixy Noise, is an illustrator and printmaker based in Cairo, Egypt. With a background in graphic design, she currently works in academia, teaching in the Printmaking Workshop. Her practice is driven by a passion for exploring diverse materials and techniques, integrating her distinctive illustrative style while continuously experimenting with new processes and forms of making.

"Purple Brain is a fully analog illustrated book created with Lino blocks, where every poem, story, and image was brought to life by hand. Each block was carved, every print manually pressed, and every copy bound with care—over the course of a year, by a single creator.

Featuring short poems and stories told from a melancholic perspective, accompanied by quirky illustrations.

The first edition is limited to 20 unique copies, and We are now seeking a kindred publisher to help connect this work with those who will feel at home in it's pages.
