Muddy Press evolved as a collaborative book project between two artists and educators in 2024. Our shared practice as art educators led to an on-going exchange of ideas around literature, design, words and images. We design, print and hand-bind each publication in-house, with a focus on materiality and tactility, balancing accessibility and craftsmanship. Our publication projects carry their own narrative and conceptual integrity, are not simply books but collaborative artworks that invite readers to slow down, to handle and to embrace the pages.
