OffBeat-Publishing

OffBeat-Publishing is a publishing house for contemporary literature & poetry beyond genre boundaries based in Berlin-Kreuzberg. We love the non-conformist, the anarchic, the avant-garde, the poetic, new narratives, language as material for various lyrical experiments, we are obsessed with language. The publishing house is a project by multimedia poet and text artist Victoria Hohmann. She publishes own texts, collective publications with other (mainly Berlin) authors and occasionally monographs by other authors. The focus is on feminist topics, climate-activist texts, experimental & political poetry. The Berlin based media designer Andreas Vierheller is responsible for the bookdesign.
Victoria & Andreas also run the podcast beans & books about bookmaking as part of OffBeat, in which they talk to protagonists from the book industry about challenges, experiences and new paths for independent publishers to gain visibility and financial stability.
