Peter Behrens School of Arts/Hochschule Düsseldorf

At the Peter Behrens School of Arts at Düsseldorf University of Applied Sciences, more than 2,000 students study in the fields of design and architecture. In their daily work, students explore current design and architecture issues in society and look for new solutions in the digital and global world. This is reflected in projects and cooperations for which our students have already received numerous prizes and awards. At Miss Read 2025, we would like to present our diverse student work in the fields of book design, typography, illustration, art printing and more to a broad professional audience. We look forward to an inspiring exchange with visitors and exhibitors at this year's fair.

Theresa Babb, Camden (1898-1901), PBSA, 2025

This book presents the works of the American photographer Theresa Babb (1868-1948), whose work went unnoticed for a long time. Essays in German and English pay tribute to her masterful command of light, shadow and composition. Babb's photographs not only reflect the developments in photography in the early 20th century, but also the growing role of women - making her work more relevant today than ever.

PRELLUNG, PBSA

A photographic documentation of the dynamics of crowds at concerts. The book is intended to show the viewer the feeling of physically attending a concert. All possible situations, feelings, gestures and facial expressions are presented to the viewer photographically and unfiltered.

Spur Fotomagazin, PBSA

The Spur Fotomagazin not only provides an insight into photographic student work that would otherwise remain hidden from the public, it also supports and emphasizes its value through the special nature of the printed medium. At a time when we are digitally inundated with images, the magazine offers an analog space in which its content can be highlighted and celebrated.
