Possessed Planets
"Possessed Planets" is part an overeager group of disillusioned overachievers, part shapeshifting universe, bound by the doom and gloom, but also the joys and freedoms that come with small press production.
Coming from the Philippines, Western Europe, South America, and East Asia, our different contexts breed themes born of the low-quality, low-resolution mix of pleasure and panic that characterizes our everyday lives as artists and cultural workers laboring under the heavy boots of late-stage capitalism. On paper and fabric, these tale of masturbation, coming of age, queer adventures, fragmented lives, drifting, tagging, gag-bombing and slow relations borne of even slower internet connections are told, illustrated, and photocopied for easy peddling and spreading at the various fairs that will have us.
The aesthetic that binds us is a primordial goopy mess, but this mess is blessed just as this planet is possessed.
