PRESSPRINT – Miss Read

PRESSPRINT

PRESSPRINT is my artistic studio, founded in 2019 in Chengdu, China, focusing on printmaking and artist books. Through print-based techniques, I create artist books that explore the relationship between image, material, and book form.
My work engages with spatial perception, visual narration, and the tactile qualities of printed matter, treating the book as an artistic medium rather than only a reading format.
Alongside self-publishing, I develop small editions and handbound artist books, and I am currently seeking opportunities for publishing collaboration. In the future, my practice will increasingly be based in Germany, where I aim to expand my artistic and publishing work.

Absurd Paradise-Zuschauen

Absurd Paradise is an ongoing series of Intaglio prints exploring the human condition within unfamiliar and shifting environments.
A bald, genderless figure appears throughout the series as a distilled symbol of human existence, beyond specific identity or desire. The works reflect the tension between adaptation and alienation in an imagined world.
The series currently consists of around 10 prints and continues to develop, with each work forming a fragment of an unfinished narrative.
