“Sex work is work” is a photobook that compiles portraits taken by Inmensidades aka Rocio Zabala Saboundji to sex workers, between 2015 and 2025. The photobook has a prologue and an epilogue by mericrismas where she accompanies with some reflections about sex work.

Immensidades portrays, from a close look, desire and eroticism as an instrument of power in the hands of its workers in a capitalist world. This book is an ode of support to the collective of sex workers at the same time that it strongly criticizes the work itself: the book closes with the phrase “if something must be abolished, capitalism must be abolished”. The book is made by sex workers for sex workers.
The first edition of 200 risograph copies was released in April 2025 and is a collaboration between three publishers based in Berlin, Germany: Profundo, Gloria Glitzer and we make it.
