Radicles Collective
For this year’s MISS READ, which focuses on ecological publishing, we propose to participate as a collective bringing together three zinesters: Post Industrial Animism (Montreuil/Brussels), Juliette Patissier (Berlin), and Club de Bridge (Marseille).
We have chosen to join forces because our publications are deeply connected. Our zines explore local ecological struggles in France—such as nuclear waste burial, megabasins, and industrial forestry—as well as topics related to biology and ecosystems, including foraging and fermentation guides or maps of interspecies networks. We approach these subjects through poetic, political, and scientific lenses.
Our creative processes are also closely aligned, as our zines are highly DIY and often produced in collaboration with local actors. We see zines as a means for people to reclaim their own forms of expression and dissemination. We believe they help foster a sense of community, especially when it comes to ecological fights.
