Senza Futuro – Miss Read

Senza Futuro

We are the publisher of Senza Futuro Magazine, an annual publication dedicated to contemporary visual research, with a focus on working-class environments and socially oriented perspectives on the world around us. Alongside the magazine, we curate a selection of fetish, queer and BDSM magazines, books and zines. We are currently editing and publishing a book titled Liminal Baby, which explores questions of gaze, territorial appropriation and belonging, asking who a place really belongs to and whether one can claim to have been somewhere without ever physically being there. Everything we do in independent, self-funded and self-published.
The death, the boredom.
Senza Futuro, The death, the boredom., Senza Futuro, 2026, © Senza Futuro

On Death and Boredom reflects on boredom as a cultural condition rather than a simple emotion. In a time defined by constant stimulation and the relentless search for new inputs, boredom has become increasingly rare, leaving little space for absence, silence or emptiness. Within this context, death appears as a necessary point of reset, a return to zero from which new images and possibilities can emerge. The issue approaches this idea through a series of editorials centred on hair, loss and emptiness, exploring disappearance, transformation and the potential of beginning again.
Moving between exhaustion and renewal, the magazine reflects on what remains when stimulation fades and attention collapses.

The deep fried issue.
Senza Futuro, The deep fried issue., Senza Futuro, 2025, © Senza Futuro

Deep Fried explores a condition of excess. Burnout, impatience, overstimulation. A mind pushed too far, overheated, almost fried.
The issue moves between mental exhaustion and physical consumption: grease, abundance, gluttony, fast food, fast images, fast life. The world becomes dense, saturated, information, desires, objects, bodies. Everything accumulates.
Alongside photography and mixed-media editorials, the magazine also includes a culinary editorial with actual recipes. Frying becomes both a material process and a cultural condition: oil, heat and transformation.
Between burnout and indulgence, Deep Fried reflects on a world running faster than time, where excess becomes the dominant language of contemporary life.

The submerged issue.

The Submerged Issue explores what lies beneath the visible surface: hidden layers of contemporary culture, obscured structures and the environments that exist outside dominant narratives.
Alongside photographic editorials and visual experimentation, the issue takes the form of an investigation into real subcultural contexts: through interviews, archival material and visual research, it examines communities that have developed their own codes, aesthetics and forms of resistance.
Among them are British skinhead subcultures, explored through a conversation with photographer Gavin Watson, whose work documents everyday life within the movement from the inside.
