SERRAGLIA × Other Editions – Miss Read

SERRAGLIA × Other Editions

Other Editions (OE) is an independent publishing initiative based in Helsinki, Finland. It specializes in book-format works that combine art, imagery, and contemporary visual languages to create new kinds of narratives.

Initiated in 2017 by visual artist and former architect Lorenzo "SERRAGLIA" Servi, OE began as an alternative to traditional art exhibition spaces. Nowadays, SERRAGLIA uses books as the principal format for his works.

Through OE, he conceptualizes, designs, curates, and produces art multiples, book series, and publications inspired by the ordinary, the banal, and the often-overlooked elements of city streetscapes.

While many of the publications feature SerraGlia’s own work, OE also serves as a platform for collaboration, bringing together artists to explore and reinterpret urban narratives.

This photo book documents an orange pillar in a shopping mall parking lot over the course of 18 months.

Through small damages, subtle repairs, and layers of bright orange paint, it slowly became a kind of accidental monument: a record of unnoticed moments, daily routines, and the slow passing of time.

What if the things we overlook are the ones that speak the most? And maybe imperfect is just another word for alive?

Urban Enigmas

Urban Enigmas is a photo-zine shaped like a puzzle magazine.

Everyday fragments of the city become visual challenges. What normally passes unnoticed turns into clues, patterns, and small enigmas that reward a slower, more attentive look.

Each puzzle is paired with a short essay that reflects on how we observe and interpret the urban landscape. Through a mix of logic, coincidence, and visual surprise, Urban Enigmas invites readers to rethink how the city communicates.

How much of what we “see” is shaped by our experiences, our imagination, and the stories we tell ourselves?

Blending humor with insight, this book draws parallels between covered objects in the urban landscape and the complexities of human relationships.

Featuring over 50 works from SerraGlia’s Wrapped Wonders series, along with reflections on life, perception, and everything in between, it celebrates the mystery of the unknown and the beauty of ambiguity.

After all, isn’t it the hidden and uncertain that keep us both curious and engaged with the world around us?
