Studio Pangolin

We are a small feminist artist run organisation from Zagreb, Croatia producing award winning experimental/hybrid films, installations, visual art, workshops and artist books. We have a small edition of key works in translation. It is our mission to develop creative and educational practices within hybrid formats that include discursive and poetic principles rooted in a feminist understanding of art practice as inseparable from life practice with an emphasis on minor, invisible, fragile and delicate work processes. Through working, talking, collaborating it is our aim to develop our individual and collective practices, an informal community and to offer a platform that supports, emancipates and encourages women artists and affiliated persons. We are involved in the whole process of book making which often includes making small models, printing, folding, sewing and/or research in materials, textures, colours, binding, etc. We work closely with particular designers with whom we develop close and lasting dialogues.
