STUDIO SOUP LIBRARY
STUDIO SOUP ZINE LIBRARY started out as Camz’s small personal collection of zines acquired from various zine fairs and artists’s markets. It slowly grew into a bigger collection when Camz met Eva, leading them both to recognize their mutual interest in art, illustration, and self-publishing. Pooling their individual collections, they established a mini, do-it-yourself library on the upper floor of UVLA, a vintage store in Cubao Expo, Quezon City. Together, they ventured into diverse art fairs and zine markets, circulating their own publications as well as the works of friends and peers. Additionally, the duo have also formed a mini publishing arm called CAEV Press. This venture is dedicated to crafting thematic zines that showcase works from an assortment of artists and disciplines. Beyond the confines of UVLA, Camz and Eva’s commitment to community-building led them to organize workshops, forums, and other gatherings.
