Studio Yves Haltner
Yves Haltner (*1989) is a Swiss illustrator and graphic designer based in Berlin. He studied illustration in the master’s program at the University of the Arts Berlin, where he developed a practice that uses drawing as a tool to observe and engage with his surroundings. His work often begins with observation tours through cities, landscapes, and everyday environments. During these excursions he collects visual impressions, small narratives, and spatial details in his sketchbooks. These drawings later form the basis for artist books that he develops from his observation tours, transforming encounters and field notes into visual narratives.
Alongside his artistic practice, Haltner collaborates with studios and agencies internationally. Moving between applied and artistic contexts, his work explores drawing as a way to document experience and translate lived environments into visual storytelling. He lives and works in Berlin.
