swamp.center, founded in 2025, is an independent platform dedicated to presenting past and ongoing self-publishing practices of artists and designers from diverse backgrounds.

Rather than operating as a conventional publishing house, swamp.center produces publications in limited editions, often outside standard distribution systems. Each project is developed with a focus on autonomy, materiality, and context. While diverse in form and content, many of our works engage with everyday culture, documenting, collecting, and recontextualizing overlooked or ephemeral materials. We approach publishing as a critical and artistic practice.

Our presentation is shaped by the metaphor of the swamp, a space that preserves traces over time. Like a swamp, the book becomes a medium for holding and sustaining memory, allowing fragile narratives and materials to endure.

swamp.center creates books that emerge from necessity rather than demand, we make the publications we believe should exist.
