Woman Cave Collective – Miss Read

Woman Cave Collective

Woman Cave is a design studio founded by two friends, architect Chloé Macary Carney and artist Léticia Chanliau.
We have been working on notions of gender and inclusivity in inhabited spaces since 2019.
We explore this theme through the publication of a bi-annual journal called Woman Journal, the setting up of participatory workshops and the realization of spaces and design objects.
We also take part in exhibitions and biennials as part of cultural programs at the crossroads of contemporary art, architecture and design.
We work to revitalize craft practices and DIY methods, in a spirit of transdisciplinarity and benevolence, with an emphasis on re-use.

We often want to act in a spirit of “care” and benevolence, but how do we know if we're really being altruistic and sympathetic? Vol.5 asks the question: Nice?
