Zeitz MOCAA – Miss Read

Zeitz MOCAA

Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa (Zeitz MOCAA) is a not-for-profit public museum in Cape Town that showcases art from Africa and its diaspora. The museum serves as a platform for the celebration of artistic voices, reflecting the vitality and complexity of life across Africa and beyond. Zeitz MOCAA’s exhibitions represent the continent’s creative force and engage in valuable conversations on identity, justice, environment, and belonging, among other critical discourses both locally and globally.
The museum’s exhibitions continue to live on through carefully developed monographs and catalogues. As thoughtful extensions of the programme, these publications draw out the conceptual and visual concerns of each exhibition, and they offer closer engagement with the complexity and nuance of artists’ practices. The books probe deeper, they invite you to look again, and they create space for reflection on the work they bring to view.
