With a focus on community building and bringing together works of makers that are present throughout the production process, ‘bring your own book’ hopes to establish itself a space for experimentation, and a connective tissue between different practices and people.

From 15 September, 2023 until 15 October 2023, ‘byob’ took over Enter Enter and exhibited the self-published works of over 500 artists, bookmakers, designers, publishers and writers from all over the world. Celebrating self-publishing and diy-printed matter in a weekly changing display. During the exhibition byob hosted a public program with launches, workshop, readings, talks and performances by Sanne Kabalt, Peter Pflügler, Soap Box, House publishing, Jesse Presse, Soyeon Kim, Anna Bulgarelli, Interlude and others.

for a duration a week byob installed a publishing station at W139, an artist run space in Amsterdam, allowing everyone to publish and distribute their work on the spot. An act of provision of all tools needed for releasing printed work, in return of a favor, leaving a copy behind for everyones sight in the exhibition space.
